Refreshing & Food in Batam

Batam always be the first place that i would think of it whenever i am having a STRESS,
miss a relaxing lifestyle , my family and my friends

Although there were too much sad and unhappiness moments and story
and i think that it has been craved on my mind and i cannot find a way to forget it
But  " BATAM will be always on my mind "


Life is keep moving and there is no way to stop time and clock in this world
Unless there is a miracle or story like in cartoon ?? Hahahaa
so i always try to be open , be positive and think of the tomorrow for the better one

Nothing can be compared with food especially if you are a food lover
I gonna share on some places and food that have gone through


Bought it in market :

Batam has quite few number of markets ,
but usually the one i visit with my mom is located at Penuin " Pasar Penuin "


Chai Kue ( Choi Pan )

A food that some sort can be consider as DimSum . It mostly sell in pastry stand in the market and
I think only those chinese sellers in the market will sell this one

There is two type of Chai Kue that some store sellers will sell
Both are same made from the flour but :
~ one contains bengkoang and mixed with carrot
~ another one is chives

I prefer the bengkoang and it is nicer

Nyonya Kueh Lapis 

It is one of my favorite foods
It known as layer cake as well because it made up of different colour of layers.

Most of layer in kueh lapis contains of red and green color
It made up of either 2 or 3 layers
In some places you might find different color of layers but red color always be there

Rempah Nyonya Food

My another favorite food . It is wrapped by using banana leaf
But nowadays i seldom eat it because in the market they only sell
rempah that made of from Hay Bee Hiam ( Dried Spicy Shrimp )

I prefer those that made of from chicken :)

Barelang Food

Barelang known of the bridge ( there is 6 bridge ) and Seafood
You can find a lot of seafood place either restaurant or kelong in any of the bridge

Let me share on what most of the people do in Barelang :
~ Food  : Seafood is the choice
~ Dessert : Dragon Fruit in 4th bridge
~ Places to visit : Wihara ( in 4th and 5th bridge ) ,
                           Don't miss out things in 5th bridge : Ex Camp Vietnam , Museum , Wihara , monkey, etc

~ Chit - chat or see views : 1st bridge meanwhile you can enjoy the grill corn too

Es Campur and Dragon Fruit Juice

If you eat the es campur before ,
i think you should know that it just a normal es campur and it is white color too

Do you spot the difference color of the es campur on the below picture? ?
Yes , we pour the Juice into it and mixed it  .. IT REALLY TASTES BETTER
Because the original one looked very plain ,  not interested at all, and plain .. Hahahaa

Es Sorsop

This is the correct one that you should order " Es Sorsop " ..  It taste better than es campur ..
All the ingredients are same except it mixed with coconut milk instead
of sugar syrup or melted sugar that after boiled with hot water

I did a wrong order on Es Campur as i thought that it was es sorsop
till we saw it on other people's table .. too late already .. LOL

Smoke BBQ

I guess this is the only one Smoke BBQ in batam ,,,
It is located inside the The Centro Hotel and Residences
Jl, Central Raya No.08 , The Central Sukajadi Batam

It has been opened around more than a year and i guess not many people notice about it too
The food tasted so so and the price is quite pricing too ..

I was curious on it and Smoke BBQ is my another flavour
It is located a bit far from my places and since on that day i passed by the area
so i visited the place to clear my lunch

It's hard to find nice Smoke BBQ  .. So far , i haven't tasted any nice Smoke BBQ
any recommendation guys :) ?


Monster Burger

it is really a MONSTER BURGER " VERY BIG " .
A Beef Burger served with lettuce, tomato, mayo , salad , BBQ beans , and Fries

Smoked Rib + Chicken = Chef's Recommendation

1/4 Chicken + 1 Ribs served with wedges , carrot ,and BBQ Sauce
It tastes better if you eat it together with the sauce

Although it is 1/4 Chicken , but it is quite big too and the ribs is quite small
I personally feel that the wedges taste better than fries in monster burger

Delighted Breakfast in Harmoni One 

If i have a choice to have a breakfast again in Harmoni One ,
i definitely will grab the opportunity :) Why not  ??
It is really nice and delightful and there is a quite number of choice

The most that i love from their breakfast in the HASH BROWN
OMG , i never eat so nice and tasted hash brown before

In my first impression, it looks nothing special and quite dry
But since i have been long time never touch on hash brown so i took it

When i cut it before putting into my mouth
Waoww , , ,  ,  i could feel that the crispy hash brown is out and once i put inside my mouth
I just realized that my first impression was wrong .. IT IS DAMN NICE ❤❤❤


Other than that , the Japenese Curry and BBQ Chicken are recommended too

The porridge is just so so .. There is chicken and fish porridge
I took the fish because i am of chicken porridge too .. LOL

The pastry may be your choice too :)

Mr.Pancake

A place located at Nagoya Citywalk famous for its dessert of pancake and waffle
I am a waffle lover so to try waffle in batam is a MUST :)

The design of the pancakes and dessert looks tempting and attractive
But so sorry to say that I don't like their waffle :(  It doesn't make me satisfied
Compared to my school waffle at lawn , i prefer theirs instead of mr.pancake waffle
The taste that Mr.Pancake bring is lost to my school one and theirs not CRISPY :(

Another waffle that i always like to eat and afforable in batam with topping of sausage is Bean City


Let's start with a drink with something made from Mango
Mango Squash and Mango Juice

Mango Strawberry Waffle

Well, besides dessert, waffle and pancakes . They do have ala carte and western food
For the ala carte, i think , it is tasted better than the waffle ..

Zenbu - House of Mozaru

Another new openly Japanese Food in Batam located at Nagoya Shopping Mall 

The place is located near Matahari Department Store level 1 and Car Park 

To be exact , the location at the one used to belong to La'Cruise 

Cosy environment and atmosphere though there is nothing to be commented at this point

The service is quite good though although the business was quite busy

maybe because it was on weekends ..

The standard of food is well maintained so even the price .. 

Perhaps the price is not much different with Kazu Restaurant, another Japanese Restaurant in Batam

Other than selling Japanese Food , they do have local food such as fried Rice 

The portion i think depends on the type of food you order ..

But it should be around the ASIA portion .. 

Anyway , i would recommend the milkshake .. tasted not bad

So without hesitate i tried it and i gotta to say i didn't regret at all .. Hihihihi 

Oops , Sorry i forgot what sushi it is  .. But i think shouldn't worry for any ordered sushi  ..
As at least , the quality of food they have is there ..
