Ginza Lion 120th Anniversary Menu

Last week, I had a great dinner invitation at a Japanese Western fusion restaurant named Ginza Lion at Suntec City. The size of the restaurant is quite big and they have a big beautiful beer hall. From the outside, you can see the beautiful setting of the beer hall which was truly eye-catching.

Ginza Lion Beer Hall started in Tokyo in 1899 under the Sapporo Lion group. Their mission is to "'spread the culture of beer hall to the world.' We serve you special draft beer by 'pouring in one action' or traditional beer pouring technique with grilled food cooked at open kitchen concept."

120th Anniversary Celebration

This coming August is Ginza Lion's 120th Anniversary, it's such a long establish beer restaurant. They have launched a special anniversary menu to celebrate the occasion. Seafood Salad
Start your day with an appetizing fresh seafood salad. It's absolutely different from the common caesar sauce. There are salmons, squids, clams, mussels, shrimps, tobiko and rocket leaves well mixed with the coriander sauce. It doesn't disappoint me!

Signature Roast Beef
The high-quality black Angus beef is grilled using a far-infrared grill, served with wasabi and horseradish. The meat looks juicy and pinkish when served to our table. I like to dip it with the ebiko mayo and soya sauce that comes together with the beef. The whole set of beef looks mouthful but it wasn't tender enough and some parts are hard to bite.

Napolitan Spaghetti
This Japanese style spaghetti is the chef's recommendation. I personally would also recommend this dish, especially if you are a truffle lover. The truffle oil makes the spaghetti smells so good and the texture is well mixed with the Parmesan cheese neither too creamy nor dry.
