It was 7am indonesia local time, and we started to depart to Bandung from Jakarta .
Since we left earlier in the morning, it only took 2 hours to reach to Bandung instead of 3 hours
Note : Recommended to left earlier is better to avoid heavy traffic jam .
We passed by 2 Tol with a total Tol fee of Rp 56,500 ( Rp 8,000 + Rp 46,500 )
Ps : I am not so sure which Tol the driver drove us. However, the second Tol is the most expensive .
Jakarta has quite number of toll that going to different area and I am not familiar with it .:)
While on our way to North Bandung Trip, we passed by a nice view of Tea Plantation .
Certainly, bandung is cooler compare to other cities in Indonesia. It is expected that you can
spot Tea Plantation along your way but don't worry it is still under reasonable degree ..
Tangkuban Perahu.
It is an active volcano, situated in the direction of Lembang with a middle crater lake called as
" Kawah Ratu " . Its very huge with 2 side of staircase at left and right that you can walk over and
climb up to upstairs to see the whole view and take picture of it. Oh Yeah, there is a
horse riding and stalls selling " Gorengan " ( fried food ) and souvenirs .
It was Sunday & very crowded . Hardly to find a parking slot and very packed. It's FULL
The Crater Lake . Kawah Ratu .
Eh !!! Got SMOKE in my pic . Well, that is what i mentioned about famous "Active Volcano"
You are allowed to go down to see the Active Volcano nearly . But, extra entrace fee is needed
The Mountain and Tea Plantation
Entrance Fee : Rp 17.000 / person
Car Entrace : Rp 10.000
Parking Fee : Rp 2.000
Hot Spring Ciater ( Sari Ater )
Its located not far from Tangkuban Perahu. The driver told us, it took 30 minutes to reach But, guess what we reached around 15 minutes from Tangkuban Perahu .
It is a recretional park with a pool that known for its Hot Spring Water, which has healing
function for rheumatism and skin problem and could support for physical well being.
The stream and warm water in the pool is come from the nearby volcanoes ( Tangkuban Perahu ).
You could sit , swim and play the water on whatever pool you want.
Note : The water contains iodium and sulfur thus it is not suitable for pregnancy
While walking around , i spotted small waterfall at the corner.
Well, the recreation park is big and not only have pool but there is also attraction like
flying fox, Go kart , Boat , etc.
Entrance Fee : Rp 22,000 / person
Car Entrance : Rp 18,000 ( included Parkir )
But if the parking slot is full , need to park on another area, and charged Rp 5,000
De Ranch
Its a horse attraction .. Calling for all lover Cow Boy and Cow Girl !!
Let's ride a horse Be the first to ride Horse Drawn Carriage and i am nook to Horse Drawn Carriage ..
Its located not far from Floating Market Lembang
Interesting plants & flower near the entrace and i couldn't resist to take picture on it .
Waow .. Get a FREE MILK . Exchange it with your ticket entrace .
3 type of flavour : Melon , Strawberry , and Vanilla.
Both melon & strawberry are nice Anyway, its fresher and better to drink it while its still chill .
It's a Cow . Cow Field .
Nothing to hide : It's my first time seeing cow So, guess where is the milk come from ?
Its Horse Field . And You are strictly not allowed to step in
Cutie and pretty Horse Drawn Carriage . Eat Grass Eat Grass .. I mean the horse . LOL
YES !!! Its a journey i was going to start to be a cow girl. I am impressed on white horse.
And it looks prettier . In some places, white horse is used for photoshoot & charged on costly feee.
The sun was very shinny. Sure, my skin gotta change darker and darker .. Hahaa
but nothing to regret with a fun 1 round of horse riding
I could say that most of the horse they have is really trained well and not stranger to anyone.
They are nice to touch, not naughty and even tough the trainer released the string
from the place they supposed to be tighten up, there is no action from them to running around.
ATTENTION : Are you more than 80 KG ? If Yes, you are strictly not allowed to ride horse .
RULE : Maximum weight for horse riding is 80 KG

Floating Market Lembang
What we heard and what we see of Floating Market in Bangkok, Thailand seeems very interesting. Nowadays, we can find another Floating Market in North Bandung, operated not long ago since 12 December 2012. The boat is floating on the Lake known as "Situ Umar Lake" .
The new concept and boat design of floating market they have are different from the one belong to
Bangkok. And what they sell are not groceris , fruits, and meat like what the Floating Market
in Bangkok do but they sell about Bandung culinaries - food and drink .
The crowd is unavoidable during weekends. Most of the tables and chairs available along
the way were mostly occupied and quite packed. Oh Yeah , Exchange your ticket entrance
with a FREE DRINK of lemon tea, milo, coffee latte, and choco latte.
The boat is mostly designed in Sundanese Style . You can play water attraction as well such as
renting a boat to surrond the lake and enjoyed other attraction such as feeding rabbit , gown, and fish .
Exchange your cash with coin counter. The floating market don't accept cash.
I would recommend you by checking the price of the food you wan to buy first and exchange it with the amount you are going to spend because the coins is UNREFUNDABLE .
I am going to share my experinece here : Let's Play Smart Our driver told us the left over coins can exchange with cash. Without thinking further i changed Rp 50,000 and in the end i had nothing to buy and only spent Rp 20,000 . I was WHAT ??? and a bit pissed off !!! It is unrefundable.
I didn't know about it and the cashier die die will not allow you to exchange. I know its not her fault and couldn't blame the driver too, he didn't know about this new rule . So, i stood near the exchange coin counter and noticed who wanted to exchange coins, i approached them to change with me .. HAHAHA.
This is what i bought . Drink : Sugar Cane and Snack : Fried Potato with cheese flavour from
one of the stalls that has a good business and visited by most of visitors
I intended to try "Mie Kocok " but its all about beef . So, let's forget it .
As i mentioned earlier on, the food they sold is Bandung local food such as : Baso, Siomay, Tahu,
Sausage, Batagor , Lotek , Karedok , Otak - otak, Tempe, Mushroom , DimSum , etc
with a price range mostly from Rp 10,000 onwards for drink and food is Rp 20,000

Parking Fee : Rp 2,000
Strawberry Farm
Bandung has quite a number of Strawberry Farm and most places is Self - Pick strawberry.
Places, i visited such as Ciater Hot Spring, and nearby Tangkuban Perahu they do have Self - Pick strawberry farm . But the driver didn't went to the one near Tangkuban Perahu and for ciater,
its located quite deep so i didn't manage to visit as in i was in the rushed as well As promised,
the driver would bring us to Strawberry Farm, so drop at Farm called as Happy Farm
Intending to do self pick strawberry. But !!!!! The strawberry is too small and doesn't meet
my expectation. Disappointed was there when i saw its Strawberry Farm because its not interesting
and far away from the one i visited in Cameron, which is double much more better and nicer.
No entrance fee is required .
For parking : Rp 2,000
Have you tried Rabbit Satay ?
In Bandung , they are famous for its Rabbit Satay. Along the way of bandung road, i saw
a lot of street - stall selling Satay and Rabbit is never left out from the option .
I don't dare to touch on it and peel pity to see those rabbit :(
But if you are keen to try , maybe you can drop by :)
Sundanese Food - Rumah Makan Ma'Pinah
Bandung is known for its Sundanese Food and it is very easy to find Sunda Food on everywhere.
We supposed to go to one Sundanese Food near Tangkuban Perahu, which recommended by
our driver of its "Ayam Bakar " ( BBQ Chicken ) but he forgot to turn in when we passed by,
so we went to another Sunda Food located not far from De Ranch .
What i am going say : The Food " Ayam Bakar " is recommneded, but not for its service.
Told to the staff 2 times already, we would prefer breast chicken and waited for around 20 minutes,
WTH !!! wrong order .. We were served wing instead of breast. The lady boss apologized to
us and since, we wanted to save our time so we didn't ask them for change .
I ordered Nasi Timbel . From what i know, nasi timbel usually is a yellow rice .
Long time i have not eaten yellow rice and i was a bit excited . Started to eat and opened my rice.
HUH !!!! WHITE RICE ?? I was blank. The driver told me , Yeah its right order " Nasi Timbel " .
Well, i am nook to it .. LOL In Bandung , nasi timbel is same as white rice except
it is wrapped by Banana Leaf .
Puncak
On the way back to Jakarta, i chose to passby Puncak since i've never been there and heard that
it is colder and have a lot tea plantation. Stucked in traffic jam around an hour while out
from Bandung. Taking Cianjur Tol and OMG !!! none of us didn't expect that it was a super
long journey to reach to Puncak .
It was first experience for all of us included the driver . He never drive passby Puncak before
when out from Bandung. All of us thought that once out from Cianjur, Puncak is reached .
But who knows, it is totally out from what we thought. And we have no choice to turn back.
It was getting darker and darker and we wonder when we could reach Puncak.
Well, when reached in Puncak. the city area. I had no comment on going where to eat since it was tired
already especially the driver and i guessed he was very hungry too. A lot of food named
" Cianjur something " while we were in Cianjur area, which is Bogor and Puncak
such as Ikan Bakar Cianjur and Ayam Cianjur. Dropped at " IBC = Ikan Bakar Cianjur "
for late dinner A warm tea is served at the table without ordering
Another " Ayam Bakar " for dinner . HAHAHAA .. since we had no idea what to eat and
wanted to settle our dinner quickly so we could reach Jakarta earlier. I told the staff to prepare
the food quickly cox we are in the rushed . And .. Really man !! the food is served
very fast within less than 10 minutes. Great service but the Ayam Bakar is not nice.
I prefer the one i had during my lunch at Rumah Makan Ma'Pinah
Well, i don't know what it is called as but it is their tradition and culture by putting rice
on it with a banana leaf to make have a special fragrance.
Es Cianjur
This is what trully called as "Es Cianjur ", i've never had before.
Great and yummy Es Cianjur made up from coconut milk with a variety of ingredients such as
coconut , avocado, black sticky rice, and other fruits . I gonna miss it :(
Bakmi - Jakarta
Before left Jakarta, finally i could taste what is really called as Jakarta Culinary / Indonesia Food .
It is a nice noodle using mee pok with a mushroom sauce and i added wanton for my bakmi
And like usual , indonesia is famous for the Teh Botol Sosro.
