Mo'Mor Izakaya at Tanglin Post Office

Introducing a contemporary, Japanese - European new dining restaurant concept at
Wmartin Mo'Mor Izakaya promises an exquisite gourmet experience.
Mo'mor boasts both air-conditioned indoor and  alfresco outdoor seating area in
the cosy enclave of Tanglin, perfect for family or friends gatherings.




Managing by award wining chef Martin Woo, this new Izakaya concept aims to serve delectable
tapas and grills at affordable prices. Most ingredients are procured from Swiss Butchery,
one of Singapore's pioneering premium butchers that began in 1994. Mo' mor ensure it uses
premium-grade and the freshest ingredients from this butchery to create its dishes.


CANAPE - Official Opening Menu
Kani Remoulade   -..->  Sweet Corn + mint + cucumber + bread toast
Berico Pork Jowl  -..-> Black miso + pickled apple
Scallop Tartar       -..-> Ikura + Furikake + Savoury tart

I enjoyed the small bites of scallop tartar the most.
A moist and fine texture of tart perfected with juicy roe (salmon eggs) or known as Ikura



OMAKASE TAPAS SET COMMUNAL STYLE
The sharing set of group which define as a communal style consists of  :
7 Tapas + 3 Mains + 2 Sides + 1 Sweet -- >> Price : $100++


TAPAS

Firstly, it was served with Edamame Bean. It is a steamed or boiled soybeans served with
sea salt, found in Japanese Cuisine. I quite like the bean and i would say it is a good
bite for starting  .  PS : i didn't take picture of it.

Botan Ebi
Botan Shrimp a large prawn found in Japan. It is absolutely purely raw served with Shoyu
( soya sauce ) and wasabi. Some places use it on raw sushi and needn't to boil as it is a
soft enough. The dish is luxurious but i wasn't hop into it. If you like raw prawn, give it a try.



Oyster
This was a highlight of the night.
Oyster was fresh, big and excellent complemented with yuzu citrus jelly



Sword Fish Belly
Cutting into slices and turn it into flower shape which made me adore on its presentation.
Served in a good texture and i enjoyed the tender - soft of its dishes in my mouth.



Soft Shell Crab
Stuffed with grated radish and served with tempura sauce, the dish looks great from the outer
but when i put into my mouth it wasn't crisp enough though it was soft as the dish called of.
I could be more crisp for a better dining experience.



Hokkaido Scallop
Another slurp of Ikura ! Finest scallop topped with small slice of garlic chips .
Though the scallop is thick fullie but love to the tender and sweet bite



Unagi Japanese Eel 
Eel is always found in Japanese Food, you can't skip it !
Topped with sesame seed and sansho pepper which it may be an actual pepper but
it is more on citrus feeling. Sanso pepper is traditional used on Japanese cuisine, unagi.
Grilled with the dark soya sauce, flaky and most important it was not fishy.



Mains

Black Angus Ribeye
Rare medium ribeye with onion confit. It could be more tender to have a better meal of ribeye



Saiko Miso Chicken
Dip the tender chicken with pumpkin puree to feel the perfect completion of the meal
Well done grilled with a sweet saiko miso sauce



Hamachi
Yellowtail fish which is nativate from Japan to Hawaii.
Tangy and lusciius taste. It comes with grated radish at the side and  tempura sauce



Sides

Hasselback Potato
Impressive Baked Potato served with sour cream and chives



Sweets

Melon Gazpacho
Equisite dessert to end of the tasting with a red berries salsa.
Perfect frozen sweet of raspberry sorbey to cool down the hot weather .
